We understand that health information is personal.
AIIVITA is designed to collect and use only the information needed to provide medication management, reminders, adherence tracking, symptom logging, pharmacy search, and related app functionality.
Your account and health-related app data are securely associated with your authenticated AIIVITA account using Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore.
Medications, dose logs, symptoms, adherence-related data, and other account information are stored in Firestore under authenticated user accounts and are not local-device-only.
For AI-assisted prescription scanning, prescription images may be securely transmitted for processing with Anthropic Claude through Firebase Cloud Functions.
These images are used to perform the requested scan and are not intended to be permanently stored by AIIVITA as prescription-image files. Extracted medication details are only saved to Firestore when the user chooses to add them.
Pharmacy search is supported by Google Maps Platform and the Google Places API.
Medication interaction information is supported by OpenFDA.
AIIVITA does not sell personal health information or use it for advertising.
We understand that HIPAA compliance is important to many users. AIIVITA is a personal, consumer-facing medication-management application and is not a healthcare provider, health plan, or healthcare clearinghouse.
HIPAA therefore does not apply to AIIVITA in the same way it applies to covered healthcare organizations.
AIIVITA does not represent itself as HIPAA-compliant unless and until applicable HIPAA requirements and necessary service agreements have been formally established.
Users should always verify medication information and consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical advice.
